These easy to keep feeders are tiny free-living nematodes (roundworms) commonly used as live food for small fish fry and other small aquatic animals. They play a crucial role in the early stages of fish breeding in aquariums and aquaculture facilities. Their small size and easy cultivation make them a convenient and cost-effective live food source for feeding fry until they are large enough to consume other types of food or as a backup as they can go weeks without attention. Microworms are the biggest, though still very small, and Walter being in the middle with Banana being the smallest. In our experience Micro and Banana seem to reproduce a little faster than Walter though all look and behave very similar.
We sell three options, 1) a small starter culture that is best to seed a larger container. 2)The same starter culture with a larger container and more food so you can have enough to start feeding from right away as well as to start new cultures so you can continue to have them as feeders forever.
