At Tasty Critters, we work to ensure your feeder insects arrive alive and healthy. Shipping live animals carries risk, so we offer a Limited Live Arrival Guarantee that balances safety, cost, and fairness. Please review the terms before ordering.
HOW TO QUALIFY FOR OUR LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE
To be covered under our guarantee, customers must be present for delivery or select Hold for Pickup. Most losses occur when boxes sit in hot mailboxes or freezing conditions. For best results, select Hold for Pickup at your local Post Office.
Open your package immediately. Inspect your insects within 1 hour of delivery or pickup.
Contact us within 1 hour if there is an issue. Email Info@tastycritters.com or call (775) 234-8570. Include clear photos of the insects in their original shipping container.
WHAT THE GUARANTEE COVERS
Dead on Arrival (DOA): If insects arrive dead and you followed the steps above, we will reship your order at no cost.
Normal transit loss buffer: Some losses are expected in any live shipment. We pack extra to offset normal loss. A few dead insects in the box is considered normal and not covered.
WHAT THE GUARANTEE DOES NOT COVER
Packages left outside or in mailboxes after delivery.
Failure to select Hold for Pickup when temperatures are below 35°F or above 85°F.
Claims made after the 1-hour inspection window.
Refund requests. We do not issue refunds on live shipments; covered DOA claims are reshipped.
Incorrect or incomplete addresses, delivery refusals, or missed pickups.
HOW TO FILE A DOA CLAIM
Email Info@tastycritters.com or call/text (775) 234-8570 within 1 hour of delivery or pickup. Please leave a voicemail if necessary. Attach clear photos of the insects in the original packaging and any heat or cold packs. Include your order number, delivery time, and whether Hold for Pickup was used.
Once verified, we will ship a replacement of the affected items to the original address. Timing may depend on carrier schedules and safe weather windows.
OUR COMMITMENT
We raise and ship with care, use appropriate packing, and add overage for normal loss. While we cannot control conditions once a box leaves our facility, we do everything possible to deliver healthy feeders at a fair price.
